Singapore: Indian Migrant Workers Protest

The foreign migrant workers from construction industry are protected by the Employment Act. Yet Wan Soon construction company had managed not to pay the 400 workers for more then 4 months. In Singapore, there are more then 500,000 foreign workers with work permits. SNTUC memberships is 425,000 of which about 17.5 per cent or 74,000 are foreign workers.
